A valid government photo ID showing your current address — usually a driver's license. If the address on your ID is out of date, some states want a supplemental document (like a vehicle registration). You'll fill out ATF Form 4473 there and they'll run the NICS background check. Bring a second form of ID just in case, and be ready for a possible state waiting period before you can leave with it.
