Both are Aimpoints. Is the lighter T-2 worth the big price jump over the PRO for a home-defense carbine?

For a home-defense AR that mostly lives ready, the PRO is all the optic you need — same multi-year battery (leave it on) and the same Aimpoint reliability, with a co-witness mount included, for much less money. The T-2 is smaller, lighter, and a bit tougher, which matters on a hard-use duty/competition gun you carry all day. For a nightstand rifle, save the cash and buy the PRO.
