Carry
Printing
When the outline of a concealed firearm shows through clothing, revealing that you're armed.
Printing is the telltale bulge or outline of a holstered gun pressing against your cover garment so its shape is visible. For concealed carriers it's something to minimize — both for discretion and, in some places, to stay compliant with concealment requirements. Grip and the gun's 'corners' are the usual culprits.
Reducing printing comes down to holster choice and ride height, a proper gun belt, appropriately fitted (not skin-tight) clothing, darker or patterned fabrics, and positioning. Many carriers accept that minor printing rarely draws notice from the average person, and prioritize a setup they'll carry consistently and can draw from reliably.
